It all began in 2001 with the creation of a joint diploma awarded by the Cnam, Poitiers and La Rochelle universities: a DESS Jeu Vidéo et Médias Interactifs (postgraduate diploma in videogames and interactive media), which was also the result of a collaboration with the Cité Internationale de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Image (international comic strip and image centre) and Cnam Poitou-Charentes.

The next noteworthy event came in 2004 with the creation of a Master Jeux et Médias Interactifs Numériques (master’s degree in games and interactive digital media), co-awarded by the same establishments. This year also saw the move to the premises of the Cité Internationale de la Bande Dessinée.

At the request of videogame professionals and by decision of the Prime Minster, Jean-Pierre RAFFARIN, Cnam-Enjmin gained Cnam institute status in 2005.

A specialised master’s degree (a one year post master’s specialisation) in Interactive Digital Experiences (MS IDE) was created. It is run in collaboration with GOBELINS, l’école de l’image.

In 2013, we celebrated the arrival of the 10th year of JMIN Master’s students.

A new diploma course was opened: Diplôme d’Ingénieur Informatique en Sciences et Technologies des Médias Numériques - STMN (computer engineer in the science and technology of digital media).
Cnam-Enjmin moved into its new facilities in the Le Nil complex.

Today Cnam-Enjmin has made a name for itself as France’s leading school for videogames. It is recognised by industry professionals, certified by the SNJV (the French national videogame confederation) and has been graded A+ after assessment by the higher education quality assurance organisation AERES.
